Sequence of events
Practice: The practice was carried out through two games, the first consisted of guessing the animal that was hiding under the colored papers. The second game consisted of listening to the sound the animal makes and mentioning its name in English.
Warm-up: To start the class, the teacher asked the students: How was your day? Next, attendance will be verified and we will sing the song hello, hello. Finally, a game will be played to motivate students in class.
Explanation: Through some slides, the teacher proceeded to explain domestic animals, associating it with the image of the aforementioned animal, encouraging repetition in the students and also asking what color is the animal?
Production: For the production, students discovered the message of some pet names that are written with the English alphabet. Then, the children did a brief reading on the topic.
Evaluation: To evaluate the topic, the image of the animals was presented, and the question was asked: What is this? for the children to respond and thus the quality of the teaching-learning process was evaluated.
Details of an Event
An activity that generated a lot of doubt in me when planning the class was the activity of discovering the name of the animal by spelling the letters found in English. However, the children were enthusiastic and participated; At first they were a little confused so the dynamics of the exercise were explained and they asked themselves what this is letter? and together we discovered the message.
Analysis of the Event.
This activity made me think that many times we underestimate our students and do not propose activities for fear that they will not be effective. However, with the right support, students are able to accomplish many activities like the one described above. Likewise, it demonstrates the importance of knowing our students.
