Verb: Used to mention an action or state of the subject at any time.

auxiliar verb

Auxiliary verb: It is used in the company of other verbs to imply that actions or states are taking place at the moment. For this, the –ing conjugation is used.

VERB TO BE Vs the rest of the English verbs

To create affirmations:

I write a letter – yo escribo una carta

I am a doctor – yo soy un doctor

With the subjects “I, you, we, you and they” there is no major problem. We simply place these subjects and the conjugated verb as it appears in the first column of the verbs in the simple present and that's it.

These sentences are in positive or affirmative form. We simply choose the subject “I” (yo), its respective conjugated form of the verb TO BE (am) and a predicate.

These sentences are in negative form. We simply choose the subject "I" (yo), its respective form of the verb TO BE conjugated (am), then we add what in English is called "simple negation" which is the famous "not", and finally, we add the predicate.

With the subjects I, you, we, you and they" there is no major problem.We simply place these subjects and the conjugated verb as it appears in the first column of the verbs in the present simple tense and that's all.

Do I write a letter – do I write a letter?

Am I a doctor? – Am I a doctor? (ask)

With the subjects “I, you, we, you and they” there is no major problem. We simply place first the auxiliary “do”, then the subject, then the conjugated verb as it appears in the first column of verbs in the simple present and, finally, the predicate.

To create questions with the verb TO BE, we simply go to the affirmative and what we do is INVERT the subject and the conjugated verb TO BE. Thus, if in the affirmative we write I am, in the question we write Am I. Changing the place of the subject and the conjugated verb and leaving the predicate the same, questions are constructed.
