Anchor is an introduction to the project that provides a real connection from the project that may happen outside of school. For example: The project is giving a presentation about the Himalayas. Maybe a student has been to the Himalayas on vacation, this would be an anchor for that project because they can make a connection based on a personal experience.
Anchor
Task
Task narrows and focuses project work by providing a specific item to complete. For example: A teacher providing a rubric for the students to follow on their project is an example of setting a task for them to complete.
TASK

Give Students Guidance on the Project Helps Students to Know What to do Gives Guidance to Stay on Task Tells Students Specific Items to Use Tells Students How to Complete the Project Without Directions the students would not be able to complete the project that is assigned! It is one of the most important elements of project based learning!

The ULTIMATE Three
Student Reflection
Reflection is one of the most important elements. It gives them an chance to look back over their work as individuals and a group. Reflection shows them how they can do better next time, and whether progress has been made.
Public Presentation
This element is a great way to show students' work! It allows the students to share their knowledge with their peers wheter it be virtually, in the classroom, or blogs.
