The Lungs

The lungs are an organ that helps to deliver oxygen to the cells within your body and removes waste gases like carbon dioxide. Epithelial tissue makes up the little sacs where gas exchange occurs. The lungs also contain connective tissue between the capillaries and alveoli and muscle tissue. Nervous tissue regulates the function of the lungs.

Watch this video to learn about some of the major organs in the human body.

The Heart

The heart is an organ that pumps blood around your body. It is made of nervous tissue inside that controls the beating of the cardiac muscle. Blood vessels are lined with epithelial tissue. Connective tissues are found within the walls of the blood vessels. Cardiac muscle tissue pumps blood out of the heart.
