What is Genial.ly??

Originating from the word genius, Genial.ly is a versatile tool produced in Spain that is used to help create content in a visual and interactive way, as well as it’s aimed to create interactive communication no matter where you or where your team is. Genial.ly understands that humans are visual and social beings, so this site was created to make our lives easier by creating visual and interactive presentations for our short attention spans. With the use of Genial.ly you achieve audience attention, participation, and memorable content. Multiple people can work on it at the same time IF the team has access to the right technology. Genial.ly has a variety of templates and courses to choose from that are interactive such as info graphs and slideshows, training on gamifications, and even a Genial.ly Academy that provides courses for you to take to boost your creativity and comfortability using this cite for presentations. Marketing majors would do well with this site for presentations. These templates can be used for businesses, schools, universities, storytelling, and much more!! Next, we'll tell you how to get started!! :)

02 How To Get STarted!

Serach Genial.ly and sign up for an acount. Choose between the TWO options above.

Answer the few quesions that are shown to you (it's to suit YOUR needs as a creator for the presentation[s]) you're making).

You're all set to get started!!!! Click start when you're ready.

Choose your presentation delivery style from the options shown to you or start from scratch with the BLANK CREATION option.

After picking from the options which delivery you're going to use, choose your template (we used "Presentations" for this example)!

Once you chose the template that suits you, edit the color/shade scheme if the original color/shade isn't working for your creativty needs.

Choose which and how many slides you're going to need to use for your presentation (this template offers a total of 31 SLIDES to choose from).

If you're working alone on this presentation amazing! Here's what to do if you are collaborating.

Click the purple person icon with the plus sign and add their emails (we used gmail for this presentation).

Add your collaborators to the collaborators list. They must receive the email to join!!

You can also upload an image from google drive or a dropbox

You can drag images into the box or look at you computer files and add them to your presentation

Resources

There are other resources available such as illustrations, silhouettes, graphs, and tables

You can search for and add various types of resources such as shapes, icons and lines

INteractive Elements/Questions

You can add different kinds of interactive elements, including questions, buttons, graphs, and an interactive area

There is also an option to insert external content from various providers like Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram

You can insert audio into the slides or record your own

You can also insert video into the slides from a provider like YouTube or upload your own

There are preset backgrounds as well as many other options of colors and designs

This is where you can see all of the slides in your powerpoint. You can scroll through the slides, move them around, delete them, duplicate them, or edit them. You can also add a page at the top of the menu.
