URBAN DANCE
Urban dance originated in the South Bronx, New York, in the early 1970s as a non-violent way for the Latino and African American community to resolve gang confrontations and create social bonds, as well as a form of expression, challenging each other on the street to catch up to the beat of Hip Hop songs with complex acrobatic moves.
ACROBATIC DANCE
Acrobatic dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with acrobatic elements. It is defined by its sporty character and unique choreography, which perfectly combines dance and acrobatics.
SAMBA
Samba was brought to Brazil by African immigrants, particularly by those of the Bantu tribes. It also has its origin in African ritual dances.
AFRO DANCE
Afro Dance goes back to the roots of African culture, with its rhythms and movements that have been passed down through generations. Afro Dance can be said to have its roots in traditional African dance, which is characterised by its connection to nature, spirituality and community.
CONTEMPORARY DANCE
Contemporary dance was created in the last decade of the 19th century, and appeared as an alternative proposal to classical ballet. In those years, many professional dancers began to dance barefoot. In their performances, the movements were much less technical, free from classical discipline.
