• This is a poster for the American historical drama "Hidden Figures", by T. Melfi, which was released in 2017. It won three Academy Awards.
• The three main characters are played by Taraji P Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monae.
• It is based on the true, but unknown story of

Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn & Mary Jackson, three Black mathematicians who worked for NASA during the Space Race in the 1960s.As "human computers", their job was to calculate the trajectories of the rockets.

• As black women, they suffered a double discrimination and struggled to be credited for their contribution to the launch of the first American in space, John Glenn.
