Stress Reliver
Games take a persons mind off of school which takes away stress. Also it lets people make new friends that they can relate to. It also lets people relax in vr or simply building there home in minecraft. It also lets people that want to explore see different places and things. Also according to GameQuitters.com games produce a release of dopamine witch is the happy hormone.
Improves controlling anger.
Games improve controlling your anger by showing you it is just a game. And to encourage you to play just for fun. Also games show you that if you get angry and rub it off on others bad things will happen like getting reported which leads to banning and no gamer wants that to happen.Being banned is when your not allowed to play the game which is similar to the discipline that parents give you when your bad. By learning to control your anger people will be less likely to pick fights or get offended by things more than others. Which leads to less fights and problems between students and teachers
Improve communication
Games improve communication by letting children make new friends from around the world. And gaming lets students make new friends in real life as well from similar interest in games. With these encounters with people comes benefits and cons. The benefits being making a person more open, social and engaging. The cons being vulnerable, mistaken, and catfished. But overall if your a smart kid and listen when your parents say don't give your personal information you should be good. Knowing how to communicate is good because a child will be more willing to ask questions or for help. Also they will make more friends at school and be more social.
Motivation
Gaming in class motivates students to learn because they must pass in order to game. Also while they are gaming they can learn things depending on what game they are playing. For example a game programmer said that their son learned the dates and locations of major battles of war in the Pacific just by playing WWII. This shows that games teach students while they are having fun at the same time.
Helps make decisions and strategy
Games help you make decisions by making you choose what to prioritize. For example you can be in a 2vs2 situation and your teammate knocked one but the other knocked him and then ran off to heal you have to decide whether to chase him while hes low or revive your teammate for numbers. Also it helps strategy wise because you must use good teamwork in order to win like flanks. Flanking is a good example of strategy and teamwork because you and your team catch the team from behind or off guard while others are distracting ahead. Knowing strategy helps people know how to get around things/ challenges and not taking them head on or making their own way to do something while still completing the goal. Knowing how to make decisions is a MUST because it helps people know the difference between what they want and what they need. Also it will help them when they become adults because you need good decision making skills when you become an adult.
Mistakes and challenge
Games are a safe place for people to make mistakes.Unlike in real life you get scolded at or yelled at for making a mistake in games you can just fix them. For example if you are building a house in minecraft and place a block in the wrong spot you can just break it pick it up and place it down again. An example that includes people would be giving the wrong direction on a callout. Sure your teammates would be mad but at the same time you can learn your directions. Also just like regular school games get harder and harder and you run into bosses so it keeps a person always ready and engaged.
