Idea Translations was established in 2007 starting as a boutique translation company for English to Spanish medical, education and technical content. We currently provide multilingual solutions in over 75 languages. We hold ISO 9001:2015, ISO 1700:2015 and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certifications for quality management, translation project management and information security respectively. Our headquarters are in Springfield, Virginia. We have a production center in Buenos Aires, Argentina and language teams in Mexico, Brazil, China, Ukraine, India and Germany. We currently have a staff of 50 full-time employees, over 750 qualified native translators and reviewers and 150 subject matter experts for highly specialized content.

All projects are priced per word for translation and per hour for video editing, recording, transcreation and DTP. All quotes are free and generally delivered within48 hours. Any repeated words we find on your project are charged at 25% of the new word rate and fuzzies at 65%.

Every project is matched to the most suitable Project Manager who will be at your service throughout the entire duration of your project, from kick-off to delivery.

Our minimum fees are as low as $20 per project. No matter how small your project is, we won't turn it away.

We have a quality process backed by world class certifications, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 17100 and ISO 27001, the latest ISO certification for translation processes.

You own all the assets we create for you during our relationship. If you ever feel you need to move on to another translation vendor, we will provide you with the translation memory with all the content translated, so you can use it in future projects. It is part of our "no hostage" policy.

We want to make it really easy for you to give us a try. We will do a free test project of up to 300 words (limited to availability of resources in selected languages) so you can test our capabilities.

This service includes the translation by a professional translator native on the target language with specific industry experience to make sure accurate terminology is used and a thorough review of the translation by a second qualified reviewer native on the target language with specific industry experience/knowledge that includes bilingual comparison and terminology research when needed. Additionally, all of our translation services include the QA services previously described. QA: All of our linguistic services include a proprietary ISO 9001:2008 Certified QA (Quality Assurance) process performed by one of our Project Managers consisting of: 1. Verification of completeness: This includes the overall review of exported content to ensure that it has been translated entirely and that there is no missing text anywhere or issues like missing bullets, issues on the dates, currencies or numbers or other common format issues. 2. Verification of Style Guide and Glossary: If the client has a set Style Guide for communications and a glossary of terms, our verification scan, automatically finds any discrepancy in regards to guidelines and terms. This process allows us to find and fix any terminology of style guide issue. 3. Grammar and Spell Check Verification: Run a spellcheck on a specialized software tool that identifies any typos or grammatical concordance issues. 4. Verification with Quality Assurance Tool: Bilingual files are revised using a QA program that detects issues such as lack of number concordance, double spacing, source and target inconsistencies and glossary inconsistencies.

This service includes the transcription and video editing of content to insert subtitles. We have capabilities to transcribe any audio or video file in most languages regardless of format, dialect, amount of speakers or country of origin. Our transcription professionals use state of the art technology to decipher contents on most audio and video files and provide you with a user-friendly text document that allows you to identify sections by speaker or time. We also offer notarized transcriptions for legal purposes, focus group transcriptions and medical transcriptions.

This service provides a 60% cost reduction compared to a fully human translation process. We do select the most appropriate available AI engine based on your content, but there is no guarantee that the translation will be accurate without human involvement. 2. Hybrid AI Translation: entails AI translation, while also bringing a human professional into the loop. This is an excellent solution for projects with limited budget and tight deadlines that also need to have high levels of accuracy. You can save 30% on your translation costs by using this service instead of a fully human process. Includes a full AI translation, which is then reviewed by a professional translator to mitigate critical errors and provide a translated version that will be as accurate as possible.
