To describe permanent situations:I live in Paris.

To describe habits:I play tennis every Tuesday.

NEGATIVE:

To make the negative, we simply add "not" after the verb:

1. I am not
2. You are not
3. He/She/It is not
4. We are not
5. You are not
6. They are not

PRESENT SIMPLE WITH OTHER VERBS

To make the Present Simple, we use the base form of the verb.to sing --> sing The 3rd person singular takes an -s at the end:TO SING I sing We sing You sing You sing He / She / It SINGS They sing

SPELLING CHANGES

• consonant +y: to study ---> he studies
• Verbs that end in "s", "sh", "ch" or "x":

to watch ---> she watches

• Verbs that end in "o":

to go ---> he goes

TO HAVE ---> HAS!

questions

To make a yes/no question, we use "do" or "does" before the subject:Do you like rap music? Does your friend like rap music? To make a WH question, you just put the WH word at the front:Where do you play football?
