Write three clothes that you know

PLAY BINGO

• STEP 1: Give every two student a bingo card.
• STEP 2: The teacher takes a word card from a bag, and say the word aloud.
• STEP 3: If the students have a matching picture on their bingo card, they cross it out.

• STEP 4: When a student has crossed out all nine items of clothing, they shout BINGO.
• STEP 5: Ask them to say the clothes on their card, and check.
• STEP 6: If the clothes are correct, the student wins the round. If not, continue the game.

Interview your partner

In pairs, you are going to interview each other about clothes and fashion using the questions on the worksheet

Write down your partner's answers in sentence form using the third-person singular.

Don't write your partner's name anywhere on the worksheet.

When you have finished, I'll take back the completed questionnaires and redistribute the worksheets.

Read the answers on the questionnaire, correct any mistake and guess who it belongs to.

In my work, I can wear anything I want, so I usually wear something casual, for example a T-shirt and jeans, because it’s more comfortable. If it’s really hot, I sometimes wear shorts and sandals! I don’t wear different clothes when I’m not at work and I don’t have a favourite colour. I never wear formal clothes because I don’t feel comfortable in a suit. But I sometimes wear a white shirt.

When I’m at work, I need to look smart. I usually wear a grey business dress and a pair of black shoes. Outside work, I sometimes wear formal clothes. For example when I’m in an expensive restaurant or at a dinner party, I usually wear a long dress. Purple, red and black are my favourite colours. At home, I normally wear casual clothes. I like wearing shorts, T-shirts and trainers.

When I’m at work, I wear formal clothes. I usually wear a shirt and tie with a smart pair of trousers and black shoes. But when I’m at home or out with my friends, I prefer to wear casual clothes and I like light colours. I usually wear jeans all year round. If it’s a warm day, I usually wear a T-shirt. When it’s cold, I always wear a sweater and a warm jacket. I hardly ever wear a T-shirt in winter.

Individual Task

First, work with the group making predictions and investigating on the web about material, technology... For example, "fabrics that do not break". You cannot write about the same idea.

Step 1

On the first page, attach an image that represents you and write a tittle.

Inpairs, you are going to create a video presentation in genially making some predictions about the future of fashion.

Use adjectives, colours, materials... to describe the clothes.E.g. People are going to wear tight stripped plastic trousers.Give your opinion: In my opinion, I think that...

Step 2

Then, each student will have to create a page with a summing sentence, a question that the rest of the students will have to answer, photos and the explanatory audio.

Step 3

Use the future tense to make predictions: "will" and "going to".E.g. The fabrics are going to be/ will be unbreakable.

On the last page, write the names of the teammates with a photo or avatar.
