WHEN DO WE USE THE PRESENT CONTINUOUS?
- We use the present continuous to talk about actions that are happening now.
TIME EXPRESSIONS
HOW DO WE MAKE THE PRESENT CONTINUOUS?
AFFIRMATIVE
Subject + To be+ verb+ing
I am playing you are playing He/She/It is playing we are playing you are playing They are playing
NEGATIVE
Subject + To be + NOT + verb+ing
INTERROGATIVE
I am not playing You aren´t playing she/He/It isn't playing We aren't playing You aren't playing They are't playing
To be + subject + verb+ing
Am I playing?Are you playing? Is she/he/it playing? Are we playing? Are you playing? Are they playing?

When the verbs finishes in -e, we lose the -e and we add -ing
When the verb finishes in -ie, this is replaced by -ying
When the verb has 2 syllables and it finishes in cvc and the last syllable is the stressed syllable, we have to double the last consonant.
Most verbs only add -ing
In UK the verbs finish in -l, they doubloe the l
THE PLAY!
