  • The United States banned the consumption of alcoholic beverages
  • Where anyone caught drinking or selling alcohol would end up in the jail
  • places where all kinds of alcohol could be illegaly consumed
  • places were establishments that seemed "normal", but inside they hid a bar
  • "Speakeasy" comes from how a customer ordered his alcoholic drink, stealthily and being as unnoticed as possible.
