THE NOVEL

The term novel is a truncation of the Italian word novella (from the plural of Latin novellus, a late variant of novus, meaning “new”)

Why was the creation?

The start of this new literary genre started is because meddle class people loved the new kind of hero (The self-made) man, and in fact all the main characters of this novels started from a bad position and then after they undergo some adventures they reach a higher social standing
