El planeta no tiene agua en ningún estado. No se han encontrado partículas de CO2. El planeta tien un diámetro de 3660 km y una distancia que lo separa de la Tierra de 628300000 km Tiene un periodo orbital de 1'77 dias. La radiación de io es la más elevada de los satélites de Júpiter.

Según nuestras investigaciónes, el satelite Io de Júpiter no podría ser un planeta B, porque las temperaturas son muy bajas y el aire no seria respirable debido a que esta muy contaminado por sulfuro, que puede llegar a ser tóxico y perjudicial para la salud.
