Social Interaction
Tasks are defined as pieces of work in everyday life with a specific objective, such as painting a fence, filling in a form, making an airline reservation. So students must be prepared to solve situations or face tasks around their community.
A genre is understood to be a class of language use and communication that occurs in particular communities. For example the medical community has a genre of "case history" and the teaching community has a report genre.
Descriptions of social interaction are concerned with the strategies and linguistic devices users or a language draw on to create and mantain interpersonal relations.

What is ESP?
English for Specific Purposes, or ESP, refers to learning English because you have a specific need. It can include the area of EPP, English for Professional Purposes.Examples:
Survival English for immigrants, English for Hotel Management, and English for Air Traffic Controllers are all ESP.In the classroom:
Asking learners what they need to learn is an important element of ESP classes, as often their language needs and aims are very specific. This data can then be combined with the teacher's analysis of core language and learning needs in order to prepare a syllabus
What is the role of an ESP Teacher? And Students? Do they have a role, too?
A teacher must be experienced. This will allow them to exploit the academic background not only in teaching strategies but also in designing lessons for specific academic fields. Ideally, the teacher must be a source of information for the student.
Of course students have a role, too. They bring to class their subject matter knowledge and must be commited to develop their language knowledge and skills, and use them in authentic contexts paying attention to cultural aspects as well. This is the most effective way to become fluent in their fields.
If we teachers, keep in mind several genresin mind, instead of focusing on textbooks as the genre students first encounter, we may be able to help students respond more easily, and more critically, to the texts they encounter later in their carrers. Myers, 1992
