syllabus scavenger hunt
iinteractive quiz
To ensure students have read and understood the content on the syllabus, I use a syllabus scavenger hunt or quiz, primarily Google Forms. I’m able to ask questions in varied formats (multiple choice, short answer, T/F, essay, open-ended, and more), leave feedback, and set it up so that grades are released immediately after students finish the quiz. If I ask questions that need to be assessed manually, I can release scores later.
Easy to navigate
Convenient and accessible from anywhere with an internet connection
Automated grading saves time and reduces human error.
Can be easily updated and changed

More about me
Using memes is a great way to incorporate inovation in the classroom, online or in-person. This meme tells a little more about me by highlighting my joy of reading. The things that hold me back are cooking, cleaning, prepping for Monday, grading, writing, and responding to email.
Conclusion: Innovation, and the disruption it brings, is not easy. Cut yourself some slack. Don't be afraid to fail. When it happens, challenge yourself to accept it, learn from it, let it go, and then keep going. Teaching and learning are messy. Life is messy. I wouldn’t have any other way. Thank you
Infographic
Infographics work really well as a way to incorporate visuals into any lesson type. This example is one I created to introduce myself to students.
