la costruzione oggettiva o infinitiva

con i verbi di volontà: want, like, prefer, would like, would prefer...

Mum wants me to help her.

Sogg. subordinata italiana

Comp. ogg. in inglese

PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEGATIVE FORM

Con i verbi would like, would prefer è preferibile che la negazione "not" preceda il to + forma base. Ex: I'd like him not to come to London with us.

Exercise: scrivi frasi utilizzando la costruzione oggettiva

Ex: Claire's mother/want/her/buy/ meat. Claire's mother wants her to buy meat.

  • They/not/want/me/be late.
  • My parents/want/me/go to university.
  • We/would like/John/ come back home.
  • We/not/ would prefer/John/come back home late.
