Motherboard

It is the principal component of the computer. Without this metalic or plastic (it depends) thing , the computer wouldn't work. It contains the connectors of the RAM, prossesor, etc.

What components does a PC have?

Power supply

Device used to convert mains current into a suitable form of energy for the PC.

GPU (Graphics Processing Unit)

This device help to controle the tasks related to graphics as for example videogames, videos, graphics, photos, etc.

RAM (Random Access Memory)

It is the short-term memory of the computer. Its main function is to remember the information you have in each app of the computer. If you have a good RAM (good number of GB) and a good WIFI the app's like chrome, will open faster.

Processor (CPU)

It is the brain of the entire operation of the system, responsible for directing all the tasks carried out by the computer and executing the code of the different programs.

Hard drive

All the thing you download in your computer are saved in this "box". If you run out of space in the internal hard drive (in the original) you can connect through an USB into your computer, an extenal hard drive.
