Basic Rules

For Discord Moderation

No leaking Discord Moderation policies to non members of the MR team. Provide valid reasons on punishments, you must put the full rule, for example “Continuing drama after being told to stop”. No pretending to punish people in public channels, this is not professional. You must use grammar in all punishments, this means capital letters and full stops. We don’t moderate DMs unless it’s one of the following; DM Advertising, IP Grabbing, harassment or NSFW behaviour.

Warnings

Warnings are a reminder to give to members for them to follow the server rules when they have not intended to break them. Below are a few examples of when to give someone a warning. - Misusing channels for their intended purposes. E.g bot commands in community chat. - Not using the suggestions channel correctly. - DM Advertising (First time only, after the first time it is a ban.) When you’re wanting to warn someone you must follow the format below. ?Warn [USER] [Reason].

Muting

- Instigating issues within chats (After being asked to stop) - Spamming (Minor spam, copying and pasting the same text over and over after being asked to stop.) - Causing drama (After being asked to stop) - Earrape in VC’s - Bypassing after being told to stop. When you’re wanting to mute someone you must follow the format below. ?mute [USER] [Duration] [Reason]

The mute command is to be used when a member is causing an issue within the community, before giving out mutes you should ask them to stop, if after this verbal reminder they carry on you should mute them. Usually mutes are 2 hours, however you’re not permitted to mute anyone for more than 6 hours and no less than 1 hour. Here are some examples of what you would mute someone for:

Banning

The following section is in regards to bans. When banning someone you’re to make sure to give the reason in a clear formatted manner, you’re also to log the ban in the #moderator-commands channel, using the format pinned in the chat. The following is what you would ban someone for:

- Mass pinging ( 4 or more different people in a minute, must be clearly trying to raid. This includes mass mentioning response roles.)- Mass spamming (Purposely spamming the chat, clearly to try and cause issues.) Raiding - Extreme NSFW (Sending pornographic images, gifs etc. This includes jokes that are intentionally aimed to be NSFW towards people.) - Advertising (DM or in Server, after being warned once.) - Slurs of any kind - Creating a toxic environment within the community
