1. Can other people know us better than we know ourselves?
First, ask yourself what is good about you then ask your surrounding people the same question. And let's compare yours and your friends answer.
People can sometimes notice things about us that we don't see in ourselves. But whether they understand us better than we do is a matter of an opinion.
Can other people know us better than we know ourselves?
2. How do our interactions with the material world shape our knowledge?
Our knowledge is shaped by how we perceive and experience the physical world. Our knowledge shaped by this 4 factors: SENSORY PERCEPTION, EXPERIENCE, TESTING AND INSPECTION, Educational Process and Knowledge Creation
TESTING AND INSPECTION
SENSORY PERCEPTION
Through observation and experimentation, we can gather empirical evidence and test hypotheses. For instance, scientists conduct experiments to understand natural phenomena, engineers build and test devices, and individuals observe cause-and-effect relationships in their daily lives. These processes help us learn about how the material world works.
We gather information about the material world primarily through our five senses: sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. These senses allow us to perceive and experience the physical aspects of the world around us. For example, we see objects, hear sounds, feel textures, taste flavors, and smell scents.
Educational Process and Knowledge Creation
EXPERIENCE
Interactions with the material world lead to personal experiences. These experiences include everything from the simple act of touching a hot stove and learning that it's painful to more complex experiences like reading a book, traveling to a new place, or conducting experiments. Experiences provide the raw data that contribute to our understanding of the world.
Our brains process the information gathered through sensory perception and experiences. We analyze, interpret, and make connections between different pieces of information. This cognitive process leads to the formation of knowledge. Over time, as we accumulate more experiences and information, our knowledge base expands and becomes more complex.
