Romeo and Juliet

he story has become the archetype of adolescent love. there were many obstacles and a premature end. the play explores the love in its many forms. For Juliet's father, love is a profitable contract between two families. For Juliet's nurse, love is something physical that belongs to the realm of the senses. For Paris, the man Juliet's family wants her to marry, love is linked to the idea of decorum and correct behavior. Shakespeare also gives to tragedy characters the freedom to decide their own fate and this is one of the things that makes Romeo and Juliet a modern tragedy.

how does the story begin?

There are two important families of Verona, the Montages and Capulets and they are bitter enemies. Romeo, the son of Lord Montague, goes to a masked ball given by Capulet and meet Juliet, their daugther, and they fall in love. Then with the help of Friar Lawrence, they married. Lord Capulet wants Juliet to marry count Paris

how did the protagonist meet in the story?

Juliet asks the friar for an advice and he suggests she should drink a potion which will give her fake dead for 42 hours while the friar had to inform Romeo about it and Romeo should bring her to Mantova, but the message fails to reach Romeo in time and Romeo, seeing Juliet apparently dead, decides to kill himself with poison near Juliet body after kissing her. Then Juliet finds Romeo dead, takes his knife and kills herself.

why is it call a romantic tragedy?

I really liked and was interested in this book because it is of my genre, a tragedy that has as its object love and the tragic nature of love. When Romeo's gaze meets that of sweet Juliet, it's love at first sight. A deep and consuming passion, but forbidden: their families, in fact, are mortal enemies. Destiny does everything to separate them, and only the shadow of the night allows the two young lovers to meet. It is the absolute enchantment that unites them in secret on a balcony on a fragrant Veronese night. A paradise, however destined not to know the bliss of eternity.
