A large monster chases Ranboo resembling Slasher horror.

The basement setting is aranged in reference to Cabin in the Woods

Meta commentary and psychological eeriness resmbles modern horror.

The masked figure watching Ranboo about to perform surgery resembles Saw.

Current Fandom Activity

Currently, fans are awaiting the release of the "Founder's Cut" of Generation Loss, which will take the long streams and narrow it down into a more cinematic version.

Since Generation Loss is a part of a larger world that is building and being created, current fans are enjoying the beginning of a new generation: Generation Zero, The Story of Lostfield, which will help to set up the underlying threads throughout the stories.

About Generation Loss

Generation Loss (sometimes called GenLoss) is a horror/comedy interactive web series orginally streamed on Twitch. It follows the story of Ranboo--the narrative's chosen "Hero"--and his journey through different sets and puzzles for the viewer's entertainment. In Truman Show-esque quality, only Ranboo is allowed to survive and solve puzzles. Until the narrative decides otherwise once Ranboo realizes nothing around him is real.

Generation Loss is inspired by different eras of horror (see front page) anc carries themes of being watched, people as entertainment, "show must go on," futility, and questions of reality.

Fanworks

Given Generation Loss is a visual and interactive media, there's a lot of fan art ranging from grotesque wires and puppet imagery to just what the characters look like. There is fanfiction, a lot of which are fix-it fics where fans have changed the tragic and sad ending to be much happier.

Fan Initiatives

Generation Loss exists as an extended interactive media. Viewers/players/audience are increasingly complict in the events of the story. Initiatives came in the form of choices Generation Loss presents, such as choosing who should survive as one would in a Saw trap.
