The document is the cover of a book, which displays a mural (=painting on a wall) with Trevor Noah's portrait. A woman is observing the comedian. We can imagine that apartheid had a negative impact on Trevor's childhood because of his mixed-race origins, segregation didn't allow him to walk with his parents on public spaces.

Trevor Noah: video The video is an interview between Trevor Noah and a journalist. They are talking about Trevor Noah's topic of his book which is his own childhood in South Africa, entitled "Born a Crime". He was born an illegal child because of his mixed-race. He mentionned how his mother, grand-mother and family had to hide him in order to protect him. Indeed, he was born during the apartheid so his own existance was against the law.

INTRO // PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE TRIGGER

In the picture, we can see people with the flag of South-Africa. They look happy to wear the colours of the South-African flag. There are three boys and a girl. They are huggin eachother. They have different skin colours. They have a tattoo of the flag on their cheeks. We can guess it represents the diversity in South-Africa, because they are all looking in the same direction. They are all united despite their difference.

The Born Frees are the persons who were born after the apartheid in South-Africa. South-Africa is also called the Rainbow Nation because there's a lot of diversity and ethnicities. According to the Born Frees, the situation there is better but there's still discrimination based on races and on social classes.
