Key vocabulary
Rocks and minerals are natural resources. Many of the objects we use every day are made from them. We make, for example, fuels for cars, building materials and plastic packaging. We also use minerals to make electronic devices such as computers, tablets and mobile phones. Every year there are fewer and fewer natural resources because of the high demand for rocks and minerals
We save natural resources
Where do you think the child is? What natural resources can you see in this landscape? How do we use rocks and minerals?
