Conclusion:

At the end of the study, we came to a conclusion that different genres of music do affect peoples heart rate. The more upbeat and flamboyant music makes some peoples heart rates rise, whilst more slow and relaxing music makes peoples heart rates drop.

Hypothesis Analysis:

After seeing the results of the study, our hypothesis about the different types of music affecting heart rate was shown to betrue.

Weaknesses Within The Study

How could the study be improved?

  • The results aren't generalisable, we only studied the heart rates of those who are relatively young (14-17). The results may be different if we were to do the study on adults.
