What are cats?

Cats are a domestic species of animals that are mammals from the family Felidae. Commonly referred to as house cats, they have sharp claws, whiskers, perky ears and most of the time a furry tail.

Types of cats

While there are many types of cats, I will mention the most popular ones that are easily identifiable. These are: Siamese cat Sphynx cat Persian cat Maine Coon Ragdoll cat

How do they communicate?

There are multiple ways in which cats express their feelings, most common being their vocal meow. Like humans, they also use eye contacts, as well as visual cues and posture. Sometimes they even use chemical cues.

Taking care of a cat

Like any pet, they must have clean water and a healthy diet. They must have a litter box that has to be clean. Cats will also need a comfortable bed and their home must be a stimulating and safe environment.
