WHAT IS IT?

  • It is a vertical city
  • It is a futuristic ecocity that is still being built. It is expected to be finished by 2024
  • it is in Arabia Saudi next to the Red Sea
  • It is made by 5 hundred meters walls made of glass
  • Artificial intelligence will be used to monitor the population to improve their daily lifes.

A high speed train will be used to travel across the city instead of cars

It will contribute to preserve nature and improve the wellbeing of the population

How did it appear?

It is the project of Prince Mohammed bin Salman (Chairman of the NEOM company of Directors). He wanted to invest his fortune to modernize the country and transform it into an international showcase.

  • it has the less efficient form for a city. A circular city will be more efficient.
  • The materials used generate a cextremelly high carbon footprint.
  • The train will perhaps wouldn't be that efficient. There will be needed too many train stations.
  • It will be needed to drastically modify the surrondings.
  • It will be like a barrier for a lot of species that migrate.
  • it is supposed to be zero emissions
  • it will be fully workable
  • it will be short commute guaranteed
  • supposingly, the longest trip you will have to do is 25
  • the 95% of the land will be protect because most of the city's infraestructure will be underground
  • It will control population density
