Class Procedures

Food in Class You are welcome to eat in the classroom. You must clean up after yourself once class is over–put your trash in the garbage can! However, I will not let you leave the classroom to get lunch (in either the cafeteria or the Ram’s Cave). Bring your food with you.

Bathroom Use If possible, please use the bathroom in between classes. However, I am human, too! If you need to go, simply sign out and take the pass. If this becomes a problem, we will be contacting home. Only one student may leave the classroom at a time.

Grades

Grades Grades are composed of journals, writing assignments, essays, tests, quizzes, creative projects, participation activities and homework. Nothing is graded based on a percentage-you can keep track of all your grades by simply adding the points together (and by looking on the portal–all grades will be updated on the portal, even assignments handed in through Google Classroom).

Late Work: For every day an assignment is late, it loses 10% of its value-after 3 days of lateness, an assignment will no longer be accepted. However, if there is a situation at home or illness which prevents you from completing your work on time, please let us know and we will accommodate. Communication is your friend.
