POP means POPULAR. It appeared during the 1950's, just after WWII. People went to the cinema, had fun and bought a lot things. Pop art is young, sexy, fun, colorful and low cost. Pop artists represent modern objects, food, celebrities comic books and magazines. Andy Warhol, Richard Hamilton, Roy Lichtenstein, Eduardo Paolozzi and Keith Haring are famous pop artists. VOCABULARY: colorful = coloré low cost = peu couteux buy, bought, bought = acheter BILAN / RAPPEL : Pour parler au prétérit, soit le verbe est régulier et on ajoute -ed à la base verbale, soit le verbe est irrégulier et il faut l'apprendre par coeur.

His name was Keith Haring. He was born in 1958 and he died in 1990. He was American. He represented people, shapes, animals, aliens and objects. His paintings were colorful. He used bold lines and cartoon style. He painted on walls, subways , clothes, shoes, magnets and cups.
