Get into a group of 2 to 3 people You may work independently *Think of something you want to investigate
Research time
Participants
- One you have the topic you want to research you will then begin to form your study. Consider the following
- Experimental method (where to do the study)
- Experimental design
- Sample method ( who will be my sample? )
- Volunteer, random, opportunity?
- procedure
- How we will collect data
- When will we do the study
When can they participate?
How will they be placed into conditions
Location
Sample size How to recruit
Essential foundations
What will be my dependent measures?
Plan out procedure
What are my Independent variables?

How likely are people to conform in groups?
Do creative people see optical illusions differently than more analytical people
Are people really able to "feel people watching them" Can certain colors improve learning? Does chewing gums help with learning? Does music help with learning?
Could a person's taste in music offer hints about their personality?
Can smelling one thing while tasting another impact a person's ability to detect what the food really is? Do left handed people really use mainly right brain and right handed use left brain more?
Do people who use social media exhibit signs of addiction?
You will make a presentation
Slide 1: Cover page with title of study and researchers name Slide 2: Aim of the study and hypothesis ( you pick what type) False aim if present Slide 3: Sample information : (size, gender, age range) Sampling method ( Explain how you did it ) Slide 4: IV & DV and experimental design ( Name the IV levels as well) Slide 5: Procedure ( be specific) Slide 6: How data was collected ( what was your measure) and statistics. Need one type of graphic organizer Slide 7: Findings and conclusion: What did you discover? ( was your hypothesis correct?) Slide 8: weakness in your study/ how can it be fixed next time? *You may use more slides if needed Neds to be interactive and colorful. Use pictures and graph
