DEFINITION

Licensing is a permission acquired by a licensee to use a trademark or image with property rights and to reproduce or exploit it for a certain period of time. Licensed products have great advantages and are perfect to help, especially small and medium-sized companies, to increase their turnover through characters with great media appeal.

HOW TO OBTAIN A LICENSE?

Any individual or legal entity wishing to exploit a trademark for a period of time can obtain a license. However, there are no license fees; they depend on the agreement established between the licensor or owner of the trademark. On the other hand, there are also companies that have specific requirements to be a licensee of their trademark. With some brands it can be very complex to negotiate a license because they require a minimum of 5 years of experience manufacturing and distributing licensed products.
