Our how is defined by learners, technology, and instructional practices. They influence our teaching. It is how we engage with learners. It is how we present information.

The model for school is changing. Today's learners need a tailored approach that meets their needs. Technology can assist educators in meeting the needs of learners. In order to do that, a collective understanding of technology's ability to transform education and efficacy are needed.
Transformation

Educators need to adjust their teaching to meet the needs of learners. Todays learners are connected. Learners have more access to information than ever before. Learners want community. Learners want to create.
Call to action
iMakers
Educators cannot assume learners are skilled in ICT. Connections and relevance must be established. Creation over consumption. Learners need to find value in what they are doing.

Learners are engaged outside the classroom. From group learning to individual learning space.

Combines in person and online. Increased small group instruction.

Online learning has many benefits. Coworkers have a negative perception because of ERT. Online learning provides access for many students to a quality education
Making through Remixing and Mash-Ups
This definition of the iMaker will be difficult for some of my collegues to comprehend. This type of environment would require relinquisihing a sense of control. Some coworkers would find it difficult for students to have this much control of their learning and differentiation.
Support
Our approach has to be intentional. Technology has the potential to disrupt or impact teaching practices. We cannot ignore what is out there. Students need to be connected in their learning.
