The characteristics:

  • Students are deeply involved with their work, especially with academic, teacher-led instruction.
  • There is relatively little wasted time, confusion or disruption.

Efective teachers has the classroom ready, they are able to prevent many behavioral problems from occurring.

What is Classroom Managents?

Refers to all of the things a teacher does to organize students, space, time, and materials so students learning can take place. Classroom practices and procedures must be predictable and consistent.

  • The classroom must be structured and organized.
  • There is no yelling of instructions
  • There is not wasted time

A teacher helps a student succeed

The more the school and the family are joined as partners in educating young people, the greater the children's chances for success. What does an effective teacher? An effective teacher helps to create an environment for all students to success.

Classroom Management

It is not what teachers do to stop misbehaviour that characterizes effective group management, but how they prevent problems in the first place. The number one problem in the classroom is not discipline; it is the lack of procedures and routines.

There are 3 steps to teaching procedures:

Expectations are important!

Your expectations of your students will greatly influence their achievement in your class and in their lives. Two kind of expectations:
