The pros and cons of smart devices in academic and personal life

In my case, my computer and my iPad are part of my academic life and my phone is part of my personal and academic life.However, there are some pros and some cons that I think my devices has, since I use them everyday. I am going to start with some advantages.

Technology has been increasing and became really important to us. These generations usually have phone and iPads, to some people we can add computers, but the thing is that they are present in our daily lives. These tools help to improve our technology skills but they can be harmful in our lives.

Advantages of my devices

• My phone is my personal tool: I use it to chat with my friends/partners/family, search for information, take photos, etc
• I have saved most of my information in my devices like photos, videos and some important documents.
• If I get bored somewhere, I can play music or play games.
• Taking notes in my computer or iPad it is more practical and really easy.
• I usually write my reminders and set alarms so often.

Cons of my devices

• I have been creating a vice cause I need them for everything, all days.
• Sometimes, I get distracted in my phone or iPad and I forgot about my homeworks.
• It is more easy and faster to take notes but I forget the information just seen so fast; when I used notebooks, I used to retain more about the topic
• I had been doing everything there so if one day I lose my devices, I will lose my personal and academic information, unless I have a cloud backup.
• My eyes hurt and burn at the end of the day, even that I use glasses, because I have to be watching the screens for almost all day.
• I feel frustrated when my device is slow. I would give up when I started using them.
