* Pixel: is the smallest unit of a digital image. Pixels ara combined to form a complete image

What are we going to do?

MINECRAFT DESIGNERS Imagine that you are hired to create a sketch for a Minecraft-Keith Haring special edition. That's why we are going to recreate a Keith Haring painting using the handmade pixel art technique

HOW TO DRAW?

Step 3

Step 1

Retouch the squares with a BLACK MARKER. After that, fill in the squares with the same black marker. ATTENTION! Don't retouch the same place twice with the marker to avoid breaking the paper.

Step 2

Choose a painting and draw it on a graph paper. Remember to draw the frame of the painting too. DRAW WITH A PENCIL.

Draw the squares where you have drawn the lines of the drawing. DRAW WITH A PENCIL.

HOW TO PAINT?

Cut out the painting by the frame (included). In your sketchpad, paint a sheet making stripes using three colours in harmony. PAINT WITH CRAYONS. Finally, stick the graph paper painting on this sheet of your sketchpad.

Step 1

Paint the background of the painting with a contrasting colour regarding the friends/dogs. Paint the floor of the painting with a different contrasting colour regarding the figures

Paint each friend/ dog with a different colour, but choose two colours in harmony. We want to emphasize friendship, harmony between them.

Let's practice!

Before creating your own painting you must practice the handmade pixel art technique. Draw and paint a heart on graph paper, and cut it out. Stick the heart on the cover. worksheet..
