Usos:

• Utilizamos los pronombres reflexivos en diferentes casos:

1. Para indicar que el sujeto y el objeto de la oración, es decir, sobre quién recae la acción que se está realizando, son el mismo. I hurt myself cutting the tomato for the salad. Me herí a mí misma cortando el tomate para la ensalada She wrote a letter to herself to not forget her value. Ella escribió una carta para sí misma para no olvidar su valor.

Usos:

2. Para hacer énfasis en quién realizó una acción.We went ourselves to apologize to her. Fuimos nosotros mismos a disculparnos con ella. Why don't you call yourself? ¿Por qué no llamas tú mismo?

Usos:

3. Añadiendo la preposición by, indicamos que la acción se realizó sin ayuda. He made the dinner by himself. Él mismo hizo la cena. The children prepared the party by themselves. Los niños prepararon la fiesta ellos mismos.
