Fire Drill

The first person out the door is the leader and everyone else will follow in a single line. We will head down the hallway passing Mr. Hanson's classroom to get to the doors. Once out the doors you will walk to the back trees and stand in a single file line with the class. Make sure you are calm and quiet so that teachers can count their classes.

PVMS PRIDE - Classroom

Together as a class we will decide what code we want to live by while we are together. We will divide these into three categories of READY, RESPONSIBLE, and RESPECTFUL. More to come later.

E-Hall Pass

You get about 12 E-hall passes a quarter. You should not really have a need for these passes very often because you will use passing time wisely. However, if you use them you can set up favorites to help make the process smoothly.

Buddy Room

Consectetur adipiscing elit

If you are struggling to follow expectations in the classroom you may be asked to use the buddy room. Mr. Hanson is our buddy room teacher.

  • I will hand you a yellow slip of paper
  • You will go to Mr. Hanson's classroom and sit down at his break spot.
  • You will reflect using the sheet of paper I gave you.
  • Mr. Hanson will check in with you and send you back to class

Passing Time

Passing time is for you to prepare yourself for the next class. This time should be used for ...

  • Using the Bathroom
  • Getting Materials from your locker (if you forgot)
  • Getting a drink of water
  • Stretching

Hoods

It is important to be able to see the profile of your face. You cannot wear your hoods at school because you can't see your face properly. Additionally, any hat that you wear you must be able to see your ears. So stocking caps need to be worn above your ears. Other dress code topics will be discussed in the student handbook.

Outside Time

When our class goes outside together we will always exit out the front doors. It is important that we are quiet and respectful when we exit and enter the doors because people are working. We can use some equipment that is also used during lunch time. It is important to return those items back to the bin. When the teacher calls you in, stop playing and come in immediately.

You can play on the basketball court and in the grass behind the court. Do not go past the sewer in the grass (it's in line with the pine trees).

Take a Break

There may be times when you are having trouble following the classroom rules and expectations. If this happens you may need to take a break at the desk by the door. This is meant to be a helpful tool for you to get back on track and rejoin the class. There may be a task that you need to complete at the break spot.

Water Bottles

Water bottles need to be clear plastic so that we can tell that you have water only in your bottle. Water bottles should be kept in your locker unless your teacher gives you another option. You can get a drink during passing time.
