Life Electric

Life Electric, designed by artist Daniel Libeskid, is a contemporary sculpture commissioned by the non-profit association "Gli amici di Como". It is dedicated to Alessandro Volta, physicist, chemist and pioneer of electricity, who was born and raised in Como.

Cavour square

Cavour Square is the main square of Como and the heart of the historical center of the city. It is a place to enjoy views of Lake Como and its surrounding hills. Public ferries are departing from Piazza Cavour.

Cathedral square

It took roughly 400 years to build the Como Cathedral (Duomo di Como). The construction started in 1396, hence the cathedral is characterized by a variety of styles ranging from Romanesque to Gothic.

Villa Olmo with its lush park is one of the main landmark of the City. The villa is a perfect example of Italian classical style. Napoleon Bonaparte and Giuseppe Garibaldi were two of the most notable guests of the villa. The lush park is open to the public.
