CHAIN REACTION
Do you know what a Rube Goldberg Machine is? Watch this video to find out: Can you imagine creating your own machine in a short time and without materials? Well, today is your lucky day because you will learn how to do it using Tinkercad!

Rube Goldberg Machine
New functionality discovered!
Did you know ...
...that Tinkercad includes a feature that allows us to interact with 3D models as if they were real objects? The Sim Lab is a tool that adds physical properties such as gravity, friction, mass, and volume to the models we design?

Physical properties
STATIC
DYNAMIC
Dynamic elements have physical properties, such as gravity, activated.
Static elements are not affected by physical properties.
VS
Upon entering the Sim Lab, all elements become dynamic by default.
To make an element static, we must activate it in the Sim Lab.

Cutting shapes
Explore the models added by the Tinkercad community and modify them to design a spiral slide on which a projectile can slide, and much more.

Proyectil
In Sim Lab, we can modify more properties of the models. In addition to static and dynamic properties, we also have the option to change the material they are made of. Experiment by changing the material of the slide and the projectile, and observe the different results you get by doing so.

Note: Make sure to set the slide and the platform as static.

Congratulations! You’ve Reached the End of the Project!
That’s all for today!
We have prepared an example for you!
Log in to Tinkercad with your class code and your username. Look for the 'Rube Goldberg Machine' activity and access the project with the 'Rube Goldberg Machine example.' Start the sequence by clicking on the apple and the play button.
Your Machine
Create your own chain reaction by combining the mechanisms from the previous lessons in the order of your choice. Make sure your machine has at least 5 steps. Copy and paste the models into a single project by following these steps:
- Create a new design.
- Enter one of the previous designs, select and copy the pieces that make it up.
- Return to the new design and paste the pieces.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you’ve copied all the designs into one.
Tips for your design

- Agrupa ambos modelos.
