Health & Safety
  • To ensure consistency with our schools, a minumin usage age has been estabilished as 10+.
  • Guidance for parents and youths has been substantially improved, and may merit schools communicating with parents of children using devices.

Safeguarding and Etiquette

All of your normal school rules and expectations apply when completing lessons in the Metaverse School. The Engage VR application also has several layers of safeguarding in place:

  • Engage features a room code and password system.
  • Room codes and passwords are new for every session to ensure no external access to classrooms outside of lessons.
  • Teachers should record lessons in case of safeguarding or behaviour concerns. Students must not record any VR lesson.
  • This function will be disabled in-app, but students may attempt to record using Meta Quest functionality.
  • In Engage, teachers have full control over all functions of the app which they want students to access.
The etiquette guide shown here covers key guidelines for thebehaviour expected of students during VR lessons. You can download a copy of this for your classroom if you wish.
