Students - If you do not remember your username/password or if you are a new student, then your parent can look it up in ParentConnect.

Parents: If you are a new parent, when you enrolled your child at TPS you received an email from "MISTAR Notification - parentconnectnotifier@trentonschools.com" with your username and password for ParentConnection. For all the parent links to MISTAR (ParentConnection), Schoology, Classlink, etc.... please proceed to the Parent Portal on our new website: https://www.trentonschools.com/parents.

All communication between parents and the school will be through the ParentSquare app. Communication between the school and students in grades 6-12 will be through the StudentSquare app if the student has a cell phone number entered in their MISTAR profile. If a student in grades 6-12 does not have a cell phone or their cell phone number is simply not recorded in their MISTAR profile, don't worry they will still be able to communicate via email notifications instead of texts from StudentSquare. Teachers, coaches, and club advisors should not be using any other app such as Remind, Class Dojo, etc... to communicate with parents/students/ athletes. If they are, let me know. This is a district-wide initiative to streamline the number of places parents/students have to go to look for information. Note: If the cell number or email that we have on file for you or your student needs to be changed, the parent needs to log in to ParentConnect and make the edits there. Edits can not be made in ParentSquare/StudentSquare.

It is important that all TPS parents and students in grades 6-12 register their account with ParentSquare/StudentSquare as well as verify BOTH their email and cell phone number (if they have a cell phone). If the parent/student does not register their account, they will be limited to what they can see and do. Directions to register are in the StudentSquare/ParentSquare QuickStart Guides.

What can parents do to keep their children safe online at home?

TPS does not block YouTube and it is virtually impossible to block all gaming websites as many spring up daily. If you find that your child is accessing a non-educational website at school and think it should blocked, you are welcome to submit a request to colemanj@trentonschools.com. However, keep in mind that several aspects are considered before we block a website. For example, some websites, like YouTube, are used for educational purposes. If you would like to block YouTube and other websites at home, you will need to contact your internet service provider. There are routers, software, and apps that allow for parental controls.

Students access their school email (Gmail) at mail.google.com and their Google Drive at drive.google.com. Please note: students are now in the same Google tenant as teachers! Watch this video to find out what this means for students! ONE VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER: Do not share a file with "Trenton Public Schools". That means ALL students and staff will be able to access your file! Instead use the "Restricted Setting". See video above for more details.
