TOURIST PLACES
Along its Caribbean coast, there are tropical tourist islands, including Margarita Island and the Los Roques archipelago. To the northwest is the Andes mountain range and the colonial city of Merida, a base for visiting the Sierra Nevada National Park.
IMPORTANT CITIES
Venezuela is a mostly urban country with more than 90% of the urban population, in which a percentage close to 85% of the population lives in areas of the Cordillera de la Costa (north of the country), distributed in numerous urban conglomerations such as Caracas, Maracaibo, Valencia, Barquisimeto, Maracay, Los Teques, among others.
TYPICAL FOOD
The typical foods of Venezuela are the asado negro, the pabellon criollo, the Hallaca, the Cachapa, the Arepa, the Cazabe, the Corn Flour Empanadas, the Hervido de Gallina, Meat or Fish.
The Arepa
Arepa is the most famous food. It enjoys international fame and is the letter of introduction of this South American country. Arepas are made from ground dry corn dough or precooked corn flour.
CUSTOMS
The customs of Venezuela are the reflection of its cultural diversity and its historical richness. Some of the most popular customs and traditions in Venezuela are: -The daily day when going to work, which includes breakfast with arepas and coffee, lunch with Pabellon criollo and dinner with soup or empanadas.
-The songs of wake, which are expressions of mourning and faith in some localities of the country. -The Cumaco dance, which is an Afro-Venezuelan dance performed on the Caribbean coast.
TRADITIONS
Some of the traditions of Venezuela are:
-The diablos danzantes of Yare, a religious festival celebrated on the day of Corpus Christi. -Christmas customs, such as the masses of the Christmas bonus, the hallacas and the manger. -The Parranda de San Pedro, a musical and cultural event that honors the patron saint of fishermen.

TYPICAL COSTUMES
- In Venezuela, the costume that fulfills these functions is the liqui-liqui next to the Alpargatas (which can also be accompanied by the hat), and is considered the typical costume of the country.
liquiliqui
The Liquiliqui also known as liquilique or liqui liqui, is the typical costume of Venezuela and traditional of the Venezuelan Llanos. It is used as male attire of the joropo, consists of hat hair and guama, shirt, pants and espadrilles. There is also the female version of the liquiliqui with skirt or pants.

The joropo is a musical genre and traditional dance that we find in Venezuela and Colombia in the Llanos. Within the Joropo we find different regional variants: Central Joropo, Eastern Joropo, Guianese Joropo, Larense Joropo or Golpe Tocuyano, Quirpa and Joropo llanero.

He is the most famous musician, composer and performer of the Venezuelan popular genre and his work is considered one of the most important legacies for both Venezuelan popular music and the musical repertoire of the rest of the continent.

Manager, entrepreneur, distinguished teacher, tutor of several generations of Venezuelans and founder of the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela.
