Speaking in Class

Before class...

Make sure to volunteer and participate! Only one person speaks at a time so we can hear what everyone has to share. We speak using appropriate language and kindness.

Be prepared for class to start at 9:45 AM. Have your second screen connected and be ready to open our Desmos worksheet to follow along. Pay attention to the schedule for graded assessments.

Zoom Controls

Discussion

Mrs. Naylor will manage Zoom controls (for example: to mute someone, change screen, etc.) Be sure to have your setting to mute audio when entering meetings. All screens must have school appropriate images when camera is not on.

Algebra I Expectations

Class time will pass quickly, so let's make sure all conversation - including the chat box - is on-topic and aligned with the class goals.

What if...

Zoom Chat

If something occurs and you need to leave our Zoom screen for a few minutes during class, please make sure you are muted and return ASAP. If you are going to miss more than 10 minutes, please let me know.

All Zoom chat is recorded. While live instruction is occurring, I will check the Chat periodically. Please use the chat to ask any questions if you are unable to unmute. I will answer them ASAP.

It is strongly encouraged that you participate in our Zoom classes with your cameras on. Please make sure your dress and surroundings are school appropriate. If having your camera on is not possible, make sure to take steps to still engage in our class as much as possible via chat and/or answering questions. Let's have a great start to our school year!

Let's work together to make Algebra I a great learning experience for everyone!
