Notebook work: - students have to put the date on each page - well written - students will daily take a picture of their notebook work (note taking or exercise) and upload it in classroom.
Grading
SEL (social-emotional learning): 20%CL (construction of learning): 30% Exams (trimestral/partial): 50%
SEL --- classwork (weekly grade)CL ---- classwork(weekly grade) Partial exam ----once a month Trimestral exam ---- one per trimester No Spanish in class = only English rule
Skills: - Reading: students will read weekly - Writing: students will create sentences or a full on writing, biweekly. - Listening: students will practice listening activities weekly. - Vocabulary: practice daily with games at home - Speaking: students will get graded daily on speaking - Grammar: practice grammar rules in class and as homework.
Homework:- homework will be activated on Monday and you will have until thursday to answer it. - NO EXTENSION on homeworks. (if not done = no grade)
- always bring your notebook. - monthly (in classroom): planning and vocabulary list.
Grammar bee Spelling bee:- written round - oral round 1st grade: - public speaking 2nd grade: TED talks 3rd grade: Debate Extra projects: - biweekly speaking projects - biweekly writing projects
IPAD: - the ipad will be used when answering certain exercises - only during listening activities students can use their earphones.
