Liberalism
Political and economic doctrine that emphasizes individual autonomy, equality of opportunity, and the protection of individual rights (primarily to life, liberty, and property).
Main ideas
Main ideas of Liberalism

- The individual should have as much personal freedom as possible
- His/Her freedom should not affect any one else rather than the individual
- Toleration and respect for all humans, no matter how different they are
What about the government?

- The chief task of government is to remove obstacles that prevent individuals from living freely or from fully realizing their potential.
