Our School
- It’s a huge building that can contain a lot of people.
- Every year the number of students increases and last year were around 1700 students and about 180 teachers.
- There are also school collaborators like secretaries and cleaners that take care of the cleaning of our school’s facilities like classes, gym, and laboratories.

Branch
Is divided in three areas: A, B, and branch. The main facade of the school has two main doors and if you enter through the door on the left, you are in Area A otherwise if you enter through the door on the right, you are in Area B.
the branch is separated by the main building and has the ground floor and the first floor and has 29 classrooms. There are also the gym and other classrooms for the students that study mechanics.

The school has 3 floors and in each floor, there are 10 classrooms.On the ground floor there also are laboratories, a directress’s room and segretaries’s rooms.
We can buy food like pizza, donuts, cupcakes as a snack during the break.

As we will see later, our school has many courses with many classes. For this reason, there are many facilities available to the school in order to let students attend PE classes. There are two gyms, one near the school and the other one less than a km from school, a tennis court and an athletics track.
Study plan
Our Liceo offers a five-years study plan focused on scientific subjects.. It is called “of applied sciences” because unlike other Lyceums we study Informatics instead of Latin and we integrate our classes with laboratories of physics, biology, chemistry and informatics. Another unusual subject is Philosophy because it is studied only in Lyceums.

Every day we have to look at the school timetable because we are in a different classroom almost every hour. Whenever we have to change classroom, we have to bring everything we have with us because another class is gonna be there in a few minutes.

Our school supports several projects, for example, green projects, projects whose purpose is to improve students’ abilities and form students both from a professional and educational point of view, and projects like Erasmus Plus that allow students to travel abroad.
The classes that took part in the project cleaned the school garden from all the litter.
Model European Parliament, which is a simulation of the European Parliament.
The students that graduated last year took part in this project and gave blood to AVIS which is the Association of Italian Blood Volunteers.

We usually play sports and hang out with our friends.
In Cento there is a music school and a scout group
At weekends
A day off
we usually go to the cinema, to the arcade, or to the disco, but sometimes we rent event rooms to organize private parties.
When we have a lot of free time, we also like to visit nearby cities, such as Bologna and Ferrara, to go shopping.
LICEO
"Liceo" is a school that offers an academic education and prepares the student for university.
In our school there's only one field: Scientific field: -Scientific Lyceum of Applied Sciences (in Italian "Liceo Scientifico delle Scienze Applicate")
ISTITUTO TECNICO
The "istituti tecnico" enables you to start working without getting a degree but also offers you a good education. Our school includes several courses covering different field:
Technological field: - Telecommunications
- Informatics
- Automation
- Mechanics
Economic field: - Administration, finance and marketing - International relations for marketing - Business Information systems

In our school, there are many laboratories: Before the pandemic, there was also a language lab, but it was recently turned into the fourth computer lab.
