The Eocene Epoch
The second epoch of the Paleogene Period
The Eocene Epoch was a geological period, one that lasted from 56-33.9Ma. There was no consistent climate, as it had switched back and forth between cooling and heating depending on whether you look at the early, middle, or late Eocene. There is evidence to support the theory of polar forests extensively covering the arctic, including swamp cypress trees.
