Expectations - Expectativas

• To grow one unit in all domains of the WIDA ACCESS Test in February.
• Follow instructions given by your content teacher and your ESL teacher.
• Ask questions.
• Practice your English skills
• Be responsable
• Participate in class.
• Be respectful.

Units of Study

In ESL class we follow the standards and content from your ELA class with some language goals according to your English proficiency level obtained in the WIDA ACCESS Test from last year. Check your language proficiency goals below.

Purpose- Proposito

When students are multilingual (know more than one language), I work with students one-on-one, in small groups, or in their ELA class. The ESL teacher and classroom teachers work as a team to improve your English skills, help you in your classes and give you the accommodations needed to succeed in their classes.

Homework

IYour ELA assignments are homework if you do not finish them in class. Ms. Barreto can assign you extra practice at home or by request.

Grades - Notas

In the ESL class, your grades depend on the completion of ELA assignments and participation.
