Lockdowns

Continue regular activities within the building; do not go outside.
Code Red
Shelter in place. Follow all instructions from your classroom teacher. If you are in a restroom stall, lock the door and keep out of sight. If you are in a common area, and you cannot get back to your own classroom, get to the nearest classroom. Your responses, in order of preference are: Hide, Run, Fight.
Tornado Warnings
In the event that the National Weather Service issues a Tornado Watch for our area we will remain vigilent and listen for further PA announcments. In the event of a Tornado Warning, immediately move away from windows, and proceed to our designated tornado shelter zone (pictured). Sit on the ground with your head covered until receiving the all-clear. Follow all instructions from faculty.
Fire drills and emergency evacuations
In the event of an evacuation alarm, we will leave via the 6th grade stairs and proceed to the football field. We will line up in lanes 7 and 8 off the athletic track, where I will call roll. Some important reminders:
- You must stay together as a class
- You must be silent and walk sensibly to and from the evacuation point
- You must follow all instructions from a member of faculty
